Jane drafts and prosecutes patent applications and provides advice on patentability, infringement and validity. Particular areas of scientific interest are molecular genetics, host-pathogen interaction, cell and plant biology. Particular drafting interests are modified bio-molecules, viral vectors, vaccines, assays, and therapeutic/diagnostic methods.
Jane has significant post-doctoral research experience as a molecular parasitologist and has also worked in-house as a corporate intellectual property manager. Jane has over ten years experience with Davies Collison Cave assisting clients as they manage innovations through IP protection platforms around the world. Jane also has experience acting before the Australian and New Zealand Patent Offices, managing contentious matters including oppositions and hearings.
