Jane practises in the biosciences arena in relation to obtaining protection for intellectual property, and provides advice on patentability, infringement and validity.

Jane drafts patent specifications suitable for major jurisdictions defining a broad spectrum of bioscience-based inventions including those relating to bio-molecules, cells, plants, assays, and therapeutic, diagnostic and prognostic methods and medical devices.

Janes has post-doctoral research experience as a molecular parasitologist and also worked in-house as a corporate intellectual property advisor. Jane has significant experience over ten years prosecuting patent applications in many jurisdictions, and also has experience acting before the Australian and New Zealand Patent Offices, managing contentious matters including oppositions and hearings.
