Simon coordinates and conducts searches in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and manufacturing process areas. After completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical and Manufacturing) with honours at Melbourne University, Simon gained over four years experience while working with another large patent attorney firm in Melbourne before joining Davies Collison Cave in 2003. He qualified as a Patent Attorney in 2005 and was appointed an Associate in 2008.

Simon has extensive experience in Australian infringement searches, novelty and prior art searches, family searches, watches and status enquiries. He is also a member of the AUSPAT (IP Australia's patent database that was released in 2007) customer reference group.

Simon also assists in the recordal of IP assignments and licenses, extensions of time applications and maintenance of IP rights.
