Tony's area of patent expertise lies in the field of mechanical engineering. Tony specialises in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications both in Australia and overseas. He also advises on patentability and patent infringement and is experienced in conducting patent oppositions. Tony also is experienced in handling registered designs. Tony has over 35 years experience in the profession, and became a partner of Davies Collison Cave in 1985.
Tony has experience in handling a wide variety of mechanical engineering technologies including for example agricultural equipment, mining and minerals processing and waste materials treatment. Examples of agricultural equipment include, harvesters, seeders, sprayers, mowers, balers and tractors and tractor components including motors. Examples of mining and mineral processing equipment include pumps including slurry pumps and pump components such as seal assemblies, impellers, pump casings and liners. Mineral processing includes materials separators, cyclone separators and hydrocyclones. Tony also handles sporting equipment technologies and in particular golfing equipment including golf clubs, golf balls and golf bags.
