Marion is named as one of Australia's leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners in the Managing Intellectual Property's Expert Guide. In both 2008 & 2009 Marion was listed by The Australian Financial Review as one of 'Australia's Top Lawyers' in Intellectual Property as judged by her peers. In addition the 2008 Australasian Legal Business Guide on Intellectual Property Law described her as being 'brilliant in regards to all TPA-related issues'.

Marion's major area of practice is in Trade Mark law, specialising in their availability for use and registration, infringement issues and related Trade Practices Act, Copyright Act and associated Common Law Actions. She has gained extensive experience in strategically advising on international trade mark portfolio management and protection particularly within the Asia Pacific, and regularly presents seminars, locally and abroad, on issues associated with trade mark protection and enforcement.

Marion currently chairs the Indigenous Peoples Rights Subcommittee of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA), and is on the Asia Pacific Council. She has also served on the Board of Directors of INTA. In 2009 she was awarded the 'Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Trademark Law'.

Marion has also been Vice-President of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ). She is currently on the Management Committee of the International Wine Law Association's Australasian Section and serves on the Outer Borders Team of Marques. Marion also co- authors the Australian Chapter of Lexis Nexis' International Pharmaceutical Law and Practice.
