Ray Hind | Partner B.Sc. (Eng), Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney
Ray is a senior partner with the Engineering Group and has extensive experience in the area of patents and registered designs. With over 30 years experience, working for both corporate and private practice in the UK and Australia, Ray is recognised as an authority on European and Australian patent law. Ray joined Davies Collison Cave in 1982, became a partner in 1984.

Previously, Ray was a partner of a London patent attorney firm where he had worked for 13 years. Prior to that, he worked in the Patent Department of a major UK Engineering company.

Ray is a Senior Fellow, Faculty of Law, The University of Melbourne and a course convenor and lecturer in the Master of Laws course.  He is also an Honorary Associate, Faculty of Law, Monash University and a course consultant and lecturer in the Master of Laws course at the University.  Ray has been a lecturer in the Academy of the Institute of Patent Attorneys and is a past consultant to the Australian Law Reform Commission on design law. He is a co-author of the designs commentary in Lahore, Copyright and Designs.
