Leon Allen | Partner B.Sc. (Hons.), Patent Attorney
Leon's practice focuses on the drafting and prosecution, in Australia and overseas, of patent applications for industry and research organisations in the fields of physics and engineering. He has considerable experience in the preparation of patent applications in the areas of fibre optics, lasers, construction, agricultural and earth moving equipment, internal combustion engines and building products. Leon started in the profession in 1981 and joined Davies Collison Cave in 1995, becoming a partner in 1998.

He also has extensive experience in opposition proceedings before the Australian Patent Office and in infringement actions for enforcement of patents in Australia. Leon teaches patent drafting in Europe as part of the FICPI initiative known as Eurosead. He is a Fellow of the IPTA Academy of Education as a tutor in patent drafting.
