David lectures in patent and copyright law and integrated circuit legislation for both the University of Melbourne and Monash University. He has worked as in-house counsel in London, and presented seminars to the Australian Patent Office on business system patents. He is also regularly invited to speak to the business and legal community on computer software protection and e-commerce issues and contributes to a number of intellectual property journals. He is currently a member of the Australian Government's Professional Standards Board for Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
