Brett has significant experience in Australian and international trade mark law. He specialises in trade mark search analysis and advice, prosecution of domestic and overseas trade mark applications, trade mark opposition proceedings, conflict resolution, enforcement of trade mark rights and development of trade mark portfolio management strategies. Brett became a partner of the firm in 1996.
Brett has been named as one of Australia's leading Trade Mark Law practitioners in Managing Intellectual Property's Expert Guide, and recommended as a leading Victorian Intellectual Property Lawyer in Doyle's 2010 Guide to Australian Legal Profession.  Brett is a member of The Australian Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI Australia) (a National Association of the Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle) and is lead member of the Trade Marks Consultation Group representing FICPI at meetings with IP Australia and a member of FICPI's International Trade Mark Committee.
