In his masters thesis Andrew studied marine renewable energy. His project focused on understanding the fluid-structure interaction of ocean waves with an energy device and the associated options for power conversion. During this time Andrew also worked with a renewable energy company to aid in the mechanical design and development of their prototype technologies.
for his undergraduate thesis Andrew developed a scientific payload for a pico-satellite. This involved the design and prototyping of a radiometric sensor with a mechanical actuated storable antenna suitable for low earth orbit.
