DCC attends 4th Global IP Convention 2012

Thursday, February 16, 2012

In January this year DCC attended a truly international conference in New Delhi, bringing together IP professionals from Europe, United States, South Africa, Canada, India, Singapore, Japan and Australia.

The attendees were a mix of business leaders, policymakers, and IP practitioners. Over four days, and with some 150 speakers, the audience was treated to a diverse range IP topics such as the likely impact of the America Invents Act; European, US, and Indian patent claim drafting, construction, prosecution and enforcement issues; licensing and commercialisation topics; as well as various copyright and trademark topics. DCC's representative, Dr Mathew Lucas (shown below), discussed patent law reform in Australia with specific reference to the Intellectual Property Laws (Raising the Bar) Bill 2011.
