Friday, February 18, 2011

13 - 17 February 2011

Ramon Tozer and Andrew Scott attended the 32nd APS held in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The symposium offered a varied program which covered all areas of polymer science including synthesis, characterisation, processing and modeling.

Specific topics featured included drug delivery and biomaterials, photopolymerisation and conducting polymers, tissue engineering and hydrogels, nanomaterials, surfaces and membranes, and self assembled polymers.

The symposium also included an Intellectual Property and Commercialisation session chaired by Ramon. The symposium is highly regarded for showcasing cutting edge polymer science from top international and Australian polymer scientists. The conference was attended by more than 280 delegates.

Davies Collison Cave is a long time sponsor of the APS, and this year we sponsored the coffee lounge.
