Elizabeth joined Davies Collison Cave as an IP litigator in June 2000 and worked in that role for over 10 years covering the full range of IP litigation including trade marks, copyright, designs, patent and consumer protection and common law passing off. Elizabeth became a Principal at Davies Collison Cave in 2016.
Elizabeth has a strong trade mark and related consumer protection enforcement practice and also specialises in trade mark selection, searching, prosecution and has an extensive contentious opposition and non-use practice. Elizabeth has a particular interest in domain names, Google Adwords, online trade mark infringements and customs seizure programs.
Elizabeth has been published in a number of journals including Managing Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Magazine, the Internet Law Bulletin, the Australian Intellectual Property Bulletin and the Intellectual Property Forum. Elizabeth is regularly invited to present on developments in trade marks and consumer protection laws with a focus on the online environment and has most recently guest lectured as part of Melbourne University’s Masters of Law Course and at the Annual Conference for the Australasian Chapter of the International Wine Law Association.
