Edward joined Davies Collison Cave Law in 2014, after completing his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Hons) at Monash University.
For his final year engineering project, Edward investigated the shock structures and instabilities of a supersonic jet impinging onto a stepped plate. The project involved analysis of ultra high frame rate imaging and acoustic data to identify the dominant feedback mechanisms and frequencies of the jet flow. Understanding the impinging supersonic jet is relevant to industry, where in one application it can be used to improve gas dynamic cold spray, a developing coating method which utilizes supersonic flow to deposit a coating material onto a substrate without the need for heating.
Whilst at DCCL, Edward has been involved in matters in the pharmaceutical and engineering fields, as well as trade mark enforcement and consumer protection. Edward has a particular interest in contentious Patent matters.
