Andrew is a lawyer in Davies Collison Cave's law group in Melbourne. His practice covers contentious and non-contentious matters in the areas of intellectual property litigation, commercialisation, licensing, IT procurement, internet transactions and data protection. Andrew has a background in biomedical science and in-house experience with an ASX 100 company.
Andrew has acted in a number significant patent and commercial litigation matters before the Federal Court of Australia in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer technology and electronic engineering. He has also acted for clients in copyright disputes before the Federal Court of Australia and in patent and trade mark oppositions before the Patent and Trade Marks Offices.
Andrew advises clients and drafts and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements, including IP licence agreements, technology development and transfer agreements, IT procurement agreements, collaboration agreements, research agreements, confidentiality agreements, manufacture and supply agreements, co-branding agreements, reseller agreements and distribution agreements.
Andrew also advises clients on privacy and data protection matters, including in relation to mandatory data breach reporting, cross-border data transfer, the use and disclosure of personal information and in-house privacy policies.
