PCT Wheel

The PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) Wheel was devised and designed by John Hughes and Karen Yields on behalf of DCC in 1993 and has been adopted by WIPO and the Australian Patent Office.

The Wheel provides a simple way to check due dates for priority documents, filing demand and entering national/regional phase at 20 or 30 months from a chosen priority date. The Wheel has been patented in the US and is also subject of a US Design Registration. Versions of the Wheel have also been printed in Chinese and Japanese. Around 10,000 wheels are sent out to DCC clients and contacts throughout each year.
